Fun Stuff to do in Hampton Roads

In No particular order:

1) The Virginia State Zoo - Not incredibly big, but very well laid out and has an impressive assortment of animals. It’s located near downtown Norfolk and is an easy afternoon adventure. 

2) The Botanical Gardens - Much larger than they appear and lots of fun activities for kids. The military discount for the annual subscription is incredible and I highly recommend that everyone check it out. Also near downtown Norfolk, it’s a great outdoor activity.

3) The Virginia Beach Boardwalk - Something for everyone, whether you’re looking to have a little too much fun, or just a relaxing day with the family the VA Beach Boardwalk is a great place to be.

4) The historical triangle - Not quite in Hampton Roads, but only 30 minutes North of Norfolk, Colonial Williamsburg is home to an immersive experience from the revolutionary war era and earlier. Attending their 4th of July activities is an absolute must.
